Logging into DirecTV Stream with Roku

I have a current DirecTV account (DirecTV Select Standard). I confirmed my ID and password with the new DirecTV Stream app (I  received a message that my credentials were valid) and added the app into my Roku Streaming Stick. I am able to open the DirecTV Stream app in Roku but when I enter the requested user ID and password, I get an error message: "Hmm... That isn't the ID you set up for this service. Try signing in with another ID. Care Code: 205.4"  I don't have another ID and the one I do have is able to access the  DirecTV Stream app on my phone. I've tried removing and adding the channel into Roku. I've rebooted my streaming stick. I verified that my Roku stick is up to date. Is it because I only have the basic package? If this isn't the reason, I have no clue about what to do next.

DirecTV and DIRECTV STREAM are two separate TV providers.

DirecTV is satellite TV. They do have the DirecTV app for mobile devices only. There is no DirecTV app for Roku or other TV streaming devices as that is a violation of the service. You pay for each authorized TV, not get a free one using an app.

DIRECTV STREAM is the new name of AT&T TV / AT&T TV NOW (DIRECTV NOW originally). It is a streaming-only service that you must subscribe to.

So the two have nothing to do with each other. Unfortunately just like when it first launched, it causes confusion by having DIRECTV as part of the name.
