Possibly Losing DirectTV Channels - ABC, ESPN, DISNEY and others

This is beyond frustrating and must stop. Today across the bottom of my TV a message explained how DirectTV may lose ABC, ESPN, Disney, Freeform and others. It is crazy that us customers may possibly lose channels we watch daily. We just went through this 2 months ago with CBS and other channels we watch. DirectTV needs to do something to make this stop before losing the channels or we will be forced to take our business elsewhere where the company fights for their customers. Ridiculous!!

WPNY Utica NY channel 21 on Directv just disappeared in Aug, I was told it was part of the Nextstar block Now that Nextstar has been renegotiated, I was expecting this channel to be returned. It is now the Middle of September and that channel is still not back. Can anyone tell what is going on, is the channel coming back or not? It does not even show in the channel listing anymore!!!

Make a deal.  You get enough money from all of us.

I completely agree.  With the amount of money they charge us for these tv packages there is no excuse to not have a deal worked out.  If these channels get taken away I am seriously considering dropping At&t altogether.

I am so done with constant contract disputes and loss of channels. I watch ESPN only for the Formula 1 races and ESPN is the only source for Formula 1 in the USA. If ESPN goes dark on Directv that means I'll have to purchase ESPN elsewhere for the remainder of the season. I'll still be paying for ESPN on Directv even though I won't be receiving the content and I'll have to pay for it again with another provider if I want to watch F1. If this happens I'll drop Directv and spend my money with another provider who has it. The high cost of satellite tv is one thing, still paying for content not received is a deal breaker.  I'm a Directv customer for over ten years and an AT&T customer for over thirty years and this is my breaking point. I'm done with this.

As a 23 year customer of Directv, I'm rooting for Directv/AT&T on this one. I DO NOT want my bill going any higher to support the Disney/ESPN juggernaut. While I am an avid college football fan, I won't blink an eye if ESPN pulls their feeds if it means in the long run I won't be looking at a huge increase of my bill come January. The amount we already pay is too high.

Think about this--WHY should there be an increase if ESPN has far fewer viewers (and lower ratings) than they did 10 years ago? If anything, the amount Directv/AT&T pays to Disney/ESPN should be going LOWER.

I'm certainly not an AT&T fan (and I hate that they bought Directv), but I am on board for a long outage of ESPN if that's what it takes to show those knuckleheads that our wallets are not bottomless pits to be plundered.

If Directv cannot provide me with SEC Sports I will dropped my Directv  and switch to DISH. Since ATT took over I have not been too happy with my services. I have been a Directv customor going on 30 years, but apparently I will not be for too much longer, you can bet on if I can't watch my SEC sports.

I heard that AT&T and Direct TV will be dropping ESPN, ESPN2 and the SEC Network,  I have the Ultimate package and need to know if these channels are no longer going to be showing on my satellite.

I am tired of seeing people say how much do you want your bill to go up? Really you must be on a promotional plan and not paying what I do for direct tv. What they are charging now for tv is ridiculous. We need the government to look into Att becoming a monopoly in communications!!! They are trying to control phone, tv, and the internet. This needs to stop! I feel like congress has turned a blind eye. I have never dealt with a company that doesn’t care about upset customers. Heck we just got CBS back.

This is absolutely ridiculous! The amount of money I pay att a month and the treatment I get is that I can’t watch ESPN on Saturday! The Federal government needs to look into att trying to control communications on a scale that hasn’t been done. I believe they have gotten too big and try to bully everyone else. I would welcome a congressional insight committee to look into this. I pay for this every month and this should be a breach of contract for att customers!!

please don’t lose Channel 7, ESPN, Freeform, channels, etc.!!  I cannot imagine my life without my favorite news team, The Goldbergs, The Conners, Wheel of Fortune which is our favorite game show, Monday night football 🏈!  We are already paying for these shows! We’re not asking for anything etc.!!  What is going on!  First CBS! Now this!

it’s not fair!! I’m disabled and watching these shows are the highlight of my night! Thank you!

If you insist on this confrontation with Disney and leave your long- term Directv subscribers in the lurch, you will force us to find other tv providers.  I highly resent being a pawn in your dispute with Disney.  I refuse to participate in your dispute.  I will cancel my membership to Directv and go back to cable - which I left at least 15 years ago or more for Diectv.  Fix this NOW!

If I lose espn do you realize how many customers like mysel will be switching to cable in the morning bc I will drop directv faster than you can say ESPN
