Press << to watch from the beginning

This new screen box "Press << to watch from the beginning" comes up with any button press on the remote.  Except for exit I cant find a way to get rid of it and exit stops the other action I am trying to do.  Its very annoying and needs to go away !!!  How can I accomplish this?

Well then DirecTV needs to fix it.  Stupid thing even comes up when I fast forward.  Umm....if I a fast forwarding I don't want to watch it from the beginning.  Can't wait till August.

It is the channels that put it there and they are not removing it.

Sorry to disagree it appears in places it should not.  It servers no function being in menu, guide, list, during fast forward, etc.  It even comes up in the Pandora app. Seems to come up with any key press on the remote.  It is a bug.

I'm just now getting that bug on my screen. It's on every menu screen I select, other than just full screen programming.

 

I thought they would have gotten rid of this bug already! I've never had it until just the other day. So I checked my receiver status, and lo and behold it did a system update 2 days prior on 12/11/19. I did a Google search and found some similar posts from 2015!! A bit before the merger, so it seems to be a legacy bug that's been around for more than 4 years.

 

Yet another bug to add to the growing list of DirecTV bugs. Incompetence like this should be illegal!

It is some sort of a bug, If I recall the red button reset fixed it for me in January.  So happy to not have to deal with these type of issues anymore. Happy Youtube TV customer now.

BUG or NOT ... it has screwed up my viewing pleasure sooooo many times. 

Goes like this ... I've got something recorded.  I'm watching that recording, but get

Interrupted and have to stop watching.  Later I have time to finish my recorded program.  I find it in my list of recordings and restart it … but I’d like to rewind a few seconds to catch-back-up with the conversation that was being said --- ONLY TO BE SURPRISE TO BE REWOUND TO THE BEGINNING. 

I didn’t want this … and I don’t want to have to be ON THE ALERT to remember to Exit from the offer to “<< press to watch from the beginning” every friggin’ time I start watching my recorded program.  I WANT TO MAKE THAT OFFER GO AWAY PERMANENTLY .. TO NEVER-EVER RETURN IN MY LIFETIME. 

Or perhaps DirecTV could make it a Combination of pressing TWO SEPARATE BUTTONS at the same time to achieve this “watch from the beginning” offer.

Thank you for the response, AlejandroA.  After I wrote my comment, I realized that there could possibly be an alternate easier way for AT&T to attack a cure ... while the offer to "watch from the beginning" is showing;  Have the user "press << TWICE or THREE times within 5 seconds to watch from the beginning"  (Anything other than once [the normal thing to do, to rewind]).
