Since last update (March 2019) unable to stream DVR Recordings outside home network
Since the last software update (March 2019) I am unable to stream my DVR recordings when not connected to my HOME network.
Doesn't matter what WiFi I'm connected to (away from my home network), the playlist will NOT appear under Watch on Phone > Watch DVR > On DVR.
Playlist will ONLY appear (when away from my home network) under Watch DVR > Browse for TV > On DVR... and then is making me watch the "on demand" version (all other watching options are greyed out).
I DO NOT WANT TO WATCH ALL THE COMMERCIALS!!
Also, if I'm in the middle of a program on my DVR at home and it is paused, the On Demand version will not let me "Resume" and I CANNOT FAST FORWARD to the point where I left off!!
What the heck is going on????
Anyone else experiencing this?
Please help.
At home, on my home network, all works just as it always has for months and years.
I'm experiencing on 2 different generations of Android phones BTW... Same experience on both.

Right. That feature was removed in the latest update.
You'll need something like a Slingbox to stream DVR recordings outside the home.

Thank you Litzdog, but how do you know this? ARe you an employee? Was it announced? I searched the web for days and couldn't find an answer so I resorted to posting here.
WHY THE HE_ _ WOULD THEY DO THIS???? The system is now TOTALLY worthless! When I travel for work, I want to watch my DVR recordings. NOT COMMERCIALS!
WHY WHY WHY???????

This is, unfortunately, EXACTLY why people resort to pirate sites to watch TV.
I pay DirecTV over $145/ month so that they can dismantle the features that made me choose them?
This is VERY reminiscent of the DirecTV GenieGO that I purchased and used for years before ATT bought them and turned that device into a $125 worthless BRICK.
They absolutely DO NOT care about customers! John Oliver has it right when he bashes them.
