"This account not valid for this application"

I am trying to activate NBC on my device. It asks me to select my TV provider (DirecTV). But when I try to log into DirecTV, I get the above message with no indication of how to troubleshoot. What is going on?

Hi @jenthat!

Are you using the correct Access ID and password? You can Find your User ID. Try uninstall and re install the app and see if that helps!

You can also view your content using the DIRECTV App.

I went to activate.nbcsports.com to activate my device and it took to directtv login. I entered correct user id (email address) and password but it kept popping up the read warning: "This account not valid for this application"

 

I could login at directtv website and watch live TV so my account is good. 

What am I doing wrong?

I am having the same problem logging in with the MTV app with the DirecTV provider what’s going on?

Me too. I can log in on Directv.com but not on my Ipad Pro or my iPhone 11plus.  all updated and fairly new.  was working till just a week ago, but now can't log in.  called directv technical support and they said they didn't hear of this problem and didn't know what to do.  Frustrated that I'm stuck on my TV and can't watch March Madness on my iPad or Phone!

There is a problem. The recent update that was released. Three days of technical support with all tiers. Not one person knowing how to log in to main frame to correct problems with logins. Both our Samsung phone and tablet and Apple iphone and iPad no longer log on with 30 resets and uninstall and reinstalls. Where is the technical support I remember from years of past. It might be worth looking to a new streaming service. Sad to say.

Direct tv app is telling my account info is not valid for the application.  But it works on my phone app.  I uninstalled and it is still not working.

My app no longer works either. No point in calling because according to them the problem isn’t system wide. So I am unable to watch it on my phone.

It’s taking almost a month to fix. App is useless now. Luckily we are still working from home so I rarely use it now. It was nice to use my phone to quickly see what’s on, and be able to change the channel from anywhere in the house.

I can open it on my android phone but it takes multiple logins to get it to work.  My android tablet I can not get it to work at all.

I called and they were not able to help a week ago. It’s been about three weeks now since the last update. They released another update yesterday, but it still doesn’t work.

Some of us have been waiting weeks for a solutions to this Madness with inability to log in. Only when enough people have voiced their concerns will I think proper action will commence. Every time I called its call back in a few days to see if our more informed technical support team can manage the mainframe to address said problems. I will be calling the B.B.B. to file a complaint with the horrendous customer support that has been provided to it's top paying customers.Im paying for phone and satellite. Gosh darn if you're going to make us pay for another steaming service .

It’s frustrating, and when you call they act as though this is the first time that they are hearing of the issue.
