Watching recording on DirecTV stream app on demand error
When watching recording on DirecTV stream app for Apple TV having DIRECTV satellite service, I get the error on some recordings.
”Unavailable on this Device. We couldn’t play this recording because there is no On Demand option. It is still available on your home DVR”.
Is this a limitation of using the directv app? FYI I am a DIRECTV satellite customer.

At the moment it's only possible to watch your recording on the App if you download it or if the On demand version of the program you recorded is available. Remember that the features on the app may vary depending on the type of service.

I am experiencing the same issue. I am also a Satellite subscriber. This is a big gap in functionality and a terrible customer experience.

Agree 100%. Without this functionality, watching recordings is practically doa. Some work, most don’t.

I'm confused. I use to be able to download the recording to my tablet and watch it. Now there is no option to download and it can only be watched if there is an on demand option? The DTV apps have always been very slow resource hogs that make them almost unusable, now they are unusable
