DirecTV's transmission of KERA (Channel 13 PBS)
What is wrong with DirecTV's transmission of KERA (Channel 13)? The picture cuts out every few seconds and goes to black screen. Sound transmission is OK. (I have AT&T router/wi-fi but am not using streaming.)

Our KERA transmission is not the norm, this evening. On both tvs in the house, the screen flashes the received image for about a second, then goes black for 3 to 5 seconds. I called DirecTV, and they "determined" that my issue was with the maker of the tv, Samsung. Well, the maker of the OTHER tv in the house must also be at fault (not Samsung). So, will DirecTV buck up and admit that there might just be an issue on their end, and not place the blame on everyone else? I have read many blog posts this evening trying to find an answer, but just find posts about DirecTV passing the blame off on others....others that have nothing to do with the problem. DirecTV also does not send technicians out to determine if their equipment, or the like, might be at fault (according to many blog posts....cannot comment on that from personal experience). There are no notifications from the TV station, itself, stating technical difficulties in the area. Is there any REAL help available?
Thanks for letting me blow off some steam.

There is another post about this the answer is the same, problems on only one local channel means there is a problem with the feed that is being sent to DTV by that channel.

Hello Joan. We want you to enjoy local content without interruptions. KERA PBS is experiencing a loss of audio and video. This issue is currently in an investigation status, and the Broadcast Center is working to resolve it. Once it is fixed, the channel should be broadcasted as normal. Thank you for your patience during this process. Christian, DIRECTV Community Specialist

KERA has been having problems over the last year or more. That's one reason I have not joined yet. I can't always be sure I will be able to watch it. I've missed all of my favorite shows since last Friday, May 12.

Yep, KERA seems to be down hard at this point. Consistently getting the 'stream issue' message whenever my son tries it.

Just talked with DirecTV, 5-17-2023 4:45 pm Central time, they said the company is working on resolving the issue. This has been going on for 6 days now.
When will the issues be resolved??????

@detuch254 @litzdog911
Was down in NW Plano when I posted this morning.
That thread pointed to is not conclusive at all, folks still posting issues this afternoon.
It does possibly suggest a location dependency, which shouldn't really exist.
We'll see what we see this evening when back at the house.

KERA still has this alert on their website ....
ALERT: KERA is aware that a number of viewers who access KERA TV through DirecTV and other cable providers have been experiencing ongoing technical difficulties. Our engineering team is doing all that is in their power to resolve this issue. We appreciate your patience!
