ABC Live on Roku
Can someone assist me with getting stations such as ABC or CBS to work live through my UVerse account? Other channels work just fine, but the log-in states ABC's (or CBS's) live stream is not available through AT&T.

What are the call letters for your local CBS and ABC stations (or if you know, who are the station owners)?
Also, I'm assuming you have U-verse TV, so I'm going to move this from Internet to U-verse TV. If you don't, then this is going to be a short conversation anyway.

JefferMC,
WISN and WDJT.
Yes, I have U-verse.

OK.
WSIN-TV (ABC) is owned by Hearst Television
WDJT-TV (CBS) is owned by Weigel Broadcasting
I don't know of an issue with either of these, but it's worth noting that neither is owned by the Network. My local NBC affiliate is owned by Hearst, but I cannot view any of the local affiliates (NBC, CBS, ABC, FOX) live using the U-verse app.
What App are you using on the Roku? The U-verse App?

I have the actual network apps. I have not tried using the Uverse App. I will give it a try. It is disappointing to say the least.

NBC.COM (Hearst NBC affiliate) site works from Chrome, but I did have to disconnect and reconnect my provider.
ABC.COM ( Sinclair affiliate) does not work on ABC.COM, I get "This video is unavailable or not supported in this browser." Sinclair has its own streaming service on which it provides the local news and other local content, but not ABC programming.
CBS.COM (Nexstar Media CBS affiliate) does not work on either, I get "Your TV provider is not yet supported in your location."
The U-verse App probably is not going to work, but try it and see. The point of the U-verse App was to give you a little content to watch away from home. It was never really intended to replace a set top, for which you pay a monthly fee and also compensate the content owners.

Oh this is because I am away from home. ;) I pay for AT&T services at home but was looking for my log-in options when away. I am fully aware of fees and rights, but thanks. The answer might truly be that AT&T no longer fits my needs. I was just hoping to find a way.
Thanks for your help.

What you’re seeing is a very specific contract level limitation. I’ve never been able to use my U-verse subscription and credentials to stream ABC using their app. Nor do I expect this to ever change given the likelihood U-verse TV will continue in its current form for much longer.

I'm sure it won't help you much, but in the rare occasion that I can't watch broadcast live, I've always just settled for next-day viewing via the apps.
CBS has Paramount+ and All Access before that, so it's unlikely you're going to be able to stream CBS for free.
NBC has Peacock with three different price levels starting at free for next-day viewing.

Thanks. Yes, that is what I am doing until I can figure out another option. Thanks!

Amazon sells a product called Recast which might do the job for you but requires your home setup to have acceptable OTA reception. I do not have any personal experience with the product myself.

Recast has competitors as well, such as Silicon Dust's HDHomeRun series, and there several, better, software only DVR systems (Plex, Channels, etc.) that will work with network-attached tuner hardware.
