Adding another box to existing account for another bedroom

I am going to be renting a room at a home that currently is using at&t cable. How much will it be to add another box to the account? Room is already wired

Cheapest route would be to order a wireless stb. $49 charge to ship it and $10 a month rental. These can be hardwired via cat5 (what I did as suggested by my thoughts). If the house already has 2 wireless stb's you would have to order a wired stb. $99 dollar install by a tech. Possibly another $55 charge if the wiring has to be redone or installed. Is the room connected to the rg by the existing cat5?

@Jenb92677 - You need to be aware that att "cable" is NOT the same as any othe cable providers. Other providers include all channels on the COAX connection for your room & you could have a DVR box for that room.

att provides up to four channels at a time for the whole house - including a shared whole house DVR. You will need to have an agreement with the landlord to allow you one channel to watch or, if you are into recordings, more than one.

You would have access to dVR functionality, but, what you reord & what they record are on the same list.

These limitations may be satisfactory for your situation. Best you address them before making a commitment.
