Am I still on a contract?

I have been having problems with u verse since I've had it. We'll be watching a TV and it starts scratching and skipping and it freezes ALOT.. very unhappy I can't enjoy watching a movie from beginning to end..

This is a peer-to-peer forum. The vast majority of members of this forum are just regular users like yourself.

 

Try a whole house reboot. Unplug all your U-Verse boxes. Plug the RG (modem) back in. Wait for the lights to stop blinking. Plug the DVR back in. Wait for normal operation. Plug the other set-top boxes back in.

 

If that does not work, have you tried calling tech support? You may need a technician to visit.

If you happen to have a 589 RG, IPv6 causes reboots, disconnects and browsing problems, possibly causing the freezes.  Can disable IPv6 in the RG Gui here:  http://192.168.1.254/
