Android App - Can it wake up my wired Uverse Receiver?
I hope to use the Uverse App (from Amazon app store) on my Fire 8 Tablet as a remote control for my wired Uverse receiver located in a different room of my house. I am unable to get the "OK" button in the Uverse app to wake up my Uverse receiver when it is Sleep Mode. When I manually wake up the Uverse receiver (using the real Uverse remote), then all the function buttons of the Uverse app work great !!
( I discovered that the Uverse app available on the Apple app store (for iPads and iPhones) can be used to wake up a sleeping Uverse receiver.)
Does anyone know a way to use the Android app (Amazon store or Google Play store) to send a wake up command to a sleeping Uverse receiver?
Thank You !!

Hi @DFELD2005,
That’s certainly a strange bug, let’s see what we can do to help!
Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app, or deleting the cache for it?
Please let me know so we can proceed accordingly from here!

Thank you for your prompt and helpful reply. I have tried deleting and then reinstalling the Uverse app (version 5.9.0.0031) from the Amazon Store 3 times on my Fire 8 Tablet (7th gen) with Fire OS version 5.6.2.0 . I am amazed that all the features of the remote control section of the Amazon App work well except "Press OK to Wake" to wake my wired (and named) Uverse receiver.
I decided to use my iPad Mini (IOS version 10.3) with the Uverse App from the IOS App Store (version 5.9). The OK button in the remote control window inside the IOS UVerse App works immediately to wake up my wired Uverse receiver.

Hello @DFELD2005,
You've done some great troubleshooting steps! We will make sure to pass along your feedback to our developer team. In the future their is a link located in the Amazon app store under the U-Verse TV app that will allow you to email any bugs that you may notice in the app directly to our Developer team. Thank you for your patience and keep an eye out for any future updates.
