Audio distortion on CW 1008 WPWRHD Chicago west area

Audio distortion on CW 1008 WPWRHD Chicago west burbs area.

For months now (mid-November 2016) shows on CW have distorted audio. Like it's coming out of busted speakers. It is ONLY the CW shows, it is NOT my tv/speakers. Supergirl, Flash, Arrow, DC Legends, Riverdale. All mixed through a blender.

What's going on? It's just the shows and promos too, not the commercials. Live & DVR.

Anyone else have this happening? Am i just crazy?

Sorry to read of the audio isses you are having on the CW. By chance, do you hear the same thing on non-HD channel 8?

What troubleshooting have you performed? Do you have a sound system setup by chance? If you have multiple TV's, if so, do you hear it on those?

Hi thanks for responding! I would have gotten back sooner but wasnt notified of a response.

As I said, my speakers and everything is fine. This happens on no other channel and no other dvr recordings. Only cw 1008. The sd chanel is distorted as well (0008).

I have never been home to watch one of these shows live so im not sure if its the same, but that makes no sense to me. If dvr had issues, it would be across the board. Same with speakers etc. Not selective to DC Comics shows on the CW only.

And yes, the distortion follows tv to tv.

Yes. Same issues only on CW ..DIRECTV, San Diego area, end up watching on VOD to be able to hear the episodes but not all episodes show up on vod.  Have tried all kinds of tv adjustment. I know it is not a problem at my end but who to complain to us the big question???

I have experienced this as well on directv in Lexington KY area. Like previous posts, it is ONLY CW. The distortion was so bad for these shows, I bought a sound bar thinking my tv speakers were going out only to have it continue only for these CW shows. I first started watching the series on Netflix to catch up and the audio was great. But now that I’m watching the shows recorded off CW directly, the audio distortion is horrible. NO other channels have this issue!!!

Same here in Chicago for several years now, I watch them all online on demand because no one seems to want to fix the issue!

Also this has been occurring since it was on channel 9 here, it moved to 50 and no change

Same problem in Oklahoma. It’s only CW shows. All of my other recordings are perfectly fine and it’s on all my TVs, not just one. And I’ve also noticed that a show might be fine at the beginning of an episode and then out of nowhere, the distortion starts. But I’ve noticed it during commercials too. I watch most of the shows on the CW so it’s not just a certain show with this problem.

Nope. I still have the same issues. You would think they would want to keep us on CW network channel to see/hear commercials. I watch on demand...less commercials but no way to fast forward but I get good audio

I have audio distortion on the CW channel. Sound goes in and out. I’m with spectrum out of Louisville, KY. It’s been going on forever and is so bad you can’t even watch a show on this channel.

I’ve had audio distortion. On the CW channel for weeks. It’s so bad you can’t watch anything as the sound goes in and out. I’m a spectrum customer out of Prospwct, KY.
