BRING BACK THE OLD REMOTE ACCESS WEB PAGE

What in the world happened to the old web remote access. The new one shows only a fraction of the information on the page as the old one . BRING BACK THE OLD REMOTE ACCESS WEB PAGE

I've just been presented with a New PC Channel Guide here in Vestavia Hill, AL. Apparently this has been available to other areas for some time. I don't care for and I would like to have the old guide back. I've tried the links in this previous post

https://forums.att.com/t5/Features-and-How-To/PC-channel-guide/m-p/3481063/highlight/true#M101351

but it only redirects me back to the horrible guide.

Is the old/better guide still available somewhere?

Things I hate
1) no favorites,
2) defaults back to SD when the page is refreshed
3) huge font (for old people and little children I guess)
4) no actors listed
and probably more I haven't found yet

Does anyone know what has happened to the remote access menu?  I can not find the Favorites Star anywhere. The Day and Time features are also gone but can be accessed on the calendar feature.

I like the other one better too.... The new one does not tell you who is staring in the show...

OMG!  They changed it in the last few days.  Forget your Favorite List as it's gone.  Things you are used to are still there but hidden now not in the open.  More colorful, yes.  Better, no!

For Favorites it says to click the "STAR" symbol.  What "STAR" symbol?  I don't see one.  So as of right now, I have to scroll down through all these channels that I never watch to find my lost channels unless I'm missing something??

I've always perfered the Web access as on the TV, new programs aren't marked, you have to select them to check brodcast dates.

They haven't changed the Android app yet so I unchecked the automatic update box.

EDIT:

Something is mentioned in another thread as if we are being redirected to this non-functioning site.

This is slightly off your topic but, until yesterday, I had a decent channel guide on my PC and that has disappeared. There is no longer a way to set favorite channels or programs and there is way too much content to scroll through without setting some kind of limit. The same thing happened to the PC channel guide last year but another user sent a link which restored the guide....until yesterday. Contacted support but all they did was sent links to pdf files that didn't address the problem.

Yes, the new format is horrible. There should be an option for a "classic view" or similar. Ridiculous & unusable now. Why do people feel the need to "improve" things that don't need to be improved?

I attempted to logon to the remote content menu last night from my home PC but it tells me that I have no content.  The DVR shows the programs that I have recorded and scheduled but it will not show me a tv program menu.

Also, if I click on a show that is already scheduled on my dvr to find other times that it is available, it tells me that no content is available.  If I log off of the site and come back without logging on, it will show a menu but it tells me that my zip code does not have ATT Uverse service.  I've had Uverse for over a year and a half so that is incorrect.  I figured that they must have just rolled it out last night so I thought I would try again the next morning (now) but the same problems exist.

Is anyone else having these same problems?

Why did they roll out a new layout without thoroughly testing it?

Terrible execution under the guise of improvement.

Mine will not display the tv listings unless I log out and then I have to use a zip code that is 15 miles away because it tells me that mine is invalid.  I can't reschedule any previously scheduled programs because it tells me that there is no content to display, etc etc etc.  This is a mess and should not have been rolled out until all the bugs were removed.  This is really bad.

The new format is unusable to me. For almost a decade I have used the old format very effectively to plan what I watch but this new format has completely obliterated that. I am a project mgr and spend 99% of my time in COMMUNICATING CHANGES to people that will be affected by new software. I let them know MONTHS in advance something new is coming, why it will be BETTER for them, and if any of the functionality will DISAPPEAR. In a corporate environment [but not a government one!], this kind of sudden, useless switch would get someone fired FAST [fingers crossed!]

Agreed.  The new web page access to the DVR was much more functional.  Favorite channels needs to be brought back since browsing through hundreds of channels is ridiculous.  Also need to be able to select the time for viewing the guide.  "Now" and "Prime Time" are not enough for those of us looking for shows throughout the day.

I'd do a hard reboot of the Gateway by unplug/plug in power after 30 seconds. This will fix many problems, let us know if it worked, good luck. 😉

Thank for the suggestion but the problem is NOT with the menu on the television screen.  The problem is with the online menu on the ATT site.  I tried what you have suggested last night but didn't think it would work because it's most likely a software problem with the new ATT layout.  I went through a 30 minute online chat with an ATT representative earlier today and they're looking into what's happening.  They had me try another browser (I use Firefox) so I tried it with IE and Chrome but had the same problems.  When ATT introduced a total makeover of the online remote content menu was when this problem began so they've rolled it out without testing it thoroughly.
