Can not login to watch Uverse from laptop

All of my settings are correct.

ID, password etc.

I don't need to re-boot, log out and re-sign in etc.

when I select my provider and choose AT&T Uverse, I get a re-directed message sending me to a landing page to purchase more services?

Could it be that I am physically sitting outside the border of AT&T Uverse territory?

I thought that one of the advantages of having Uverse is that you could utilize this service from anywhere....???

Which video provider's app website are you trying to use?

I'm trying to watch the local news.

When prompted to sign in to any number of providers, I choose ATT Uverse and that's when I get re-directed.

AFAIK, no local news stations lock access behind a Uverse TV subscription.  I’ve seen optimum do it, but never Uverse.

As stated, you don't need a provider login to access MSNBC or Fox News WEBSITES.

Are you trying to access the station or network's WEBSITE on your laptop?

-OR-

Are you trying to access the station or network's APP on a mobile device?

Two different platforms.  Two different ways to access.

....and you are OUTSIDE of your home network?

The ability to watch (limited) programming lies with the UVerse app....available on mobile devices.

@Chapmacc

Okay, that’s different.  Yes you can access FNC live feed from a web browser using your Uverse TV credentials.
