When you’re in the myAT&T app, look at your profile and scroll down to where it lists U-verse TV and see which att.net email is listed. Those are the credentials you need to use.

Just realizing you’ve posted in a four year old thread, but your point is valid nonetheless.

UPDATE #2: It's now working. I guess the stars aligned and the Universe...er, Uverse aligned and all is sync'd. I'm happy now. Have a good day.
UPDATE: I guess AT&T saw one of my many posts and sent a private message. Maybe some good intel will be shared on where to go from here.
Thank you gr8sho. I've got credentials but they are only for one user. We've had Uverse for years - AT&T Loyalty and all that.... A couple of months ago they tweeked our account and now my husband's credentials are the only ones we can use for the Uverse app. The problem is all his favorites come up and not mine. Plus we frequently change passwords so it is a pain when I'm out and click on the app and it doesn't work. I'm finding no joy to get my credentials to work. My email/User ID is still listed as a subaccount -- some at At&T say "well, it should work" others say "nope you can only have one credential". My friends are still able to have multiple users to the Uverse app especially for the children.... Thank you for the response. Back to my quest...

It’s been some time, but I seem to recall back when U-verse was in full song, the purpose of subaccounts was exactly intended to allow a family to use streaming, among other things.
What seems to have changed is, perhaps due to the sale of TV services to DirecTV, use of an alias email ID no longer being allowed, and the change was poorly communicated, as in not.
