Channel 3 - ABC - Corpus Christi
Why is channel 3 (KIII) blacked out? How can I watch it with the service I am paying for Internet Phone & Cable. Plus I have had my service for 34 years with ATT

KIII is not available on U-verse TV because Tegna (the owner of KIII) has taken away retransmission consent from DIRECTV (the owner of AT&T U-verse TV) due to an argument about how much DIRECTV will pay for that consent. Yes, for content that you could receive free over the air.
You could switch carriers for a momentary reprieve, until Tegna asks your next provider for more money and the two of them have a public fight with the viewers again as the losers. I do not believe Tegna has a local channel streaming service (as some other ABC affiliates do). Hulu is a way to watch ABC Network shows, but not your local news.
Update: You might try this link for local KIII programs: https://www.kiiitv.com/watch

We want to know how to watch Channel 3 (KIII) ABC local Corpus Christi station tonight - tired of our service dropping channels that we pay for - how do we get this back? Switch carriers?

You will have to use an off-air antenna (which is what I am doing). Tegna is current in contract disputes with DirecTV & U-verse TV. See tvpromise.com for more details and to attempt to claim a billing credit (it doesn;t appear to work for U-verse TV customers even though it says it should).

Hulu has deals with local channels. I just read something the other day about how the streaming providers sign deals for the local channels with the parent company (Paramount, Comcast, Disney, NewsCorp or whoever owns Fox these days.)
The jist of the article was that someone is petitioning the FCC to force the providers to deal with the companies (Tegna, Sinclair, Nexstar, others) which own the channels.

We are older senior citizens & just want to see our local channels without all of the extras that you are suggesting - where can we get TV Internet & Telephone service without the drama & jumping thru hoops for a simple service

Hopefully this will be settled sooner rather than later.
Changing TV service will not guarantee that this won’t happen with another TV provider. It can happen if you have Dish or Comcast or Spectrum.
Personally it’s not worth changing providers to just have it happen again….and I’m a senior. 😜
