Channel guide says "getting information" for all channels
The guide, including favorites, only says "getting information" instead of what program is on. At the screen bottom it says "no information available" where the program description should be. This is also true for the recorded programs. I changed batteries and it made no difference. Please advise. Thank you.

I had the same problem and I fixed it with a reboot of all box. You do not need to pull the plug just punch the power button and hold it in until your box starts to reboot. That worked for me.

Try rebooting the DVR.
If that doesn't fix the problem, unplug the DVR, STBs AND the RG (modem). Wait 20 secs.
Plug in RG first. Allow all lights to come on.
Plug in DVR next. Let it start working and plug in STBs last.
Check your guide and recordings.
I just had to do a reboot this morning after my STBs started acting wacky.

Huh???
You never pulled a plug out of a wall socket before?
Pull the plugs that power your gateway, dvr. etc., i.e., the ones plugged into your 110 volt wall power outlets.

I unplug the power cord from the back of the DVR or STB. It's not always convenient (at my age) to find the wall plug!

@skeeterintexas Yes, so do I. But based on that OP's reply, well,.., you know, doing it the preferred way is, uh, too technical!

When in doubt, reboot.
