Deleted Recordings on UVerse
Around 2/8/22 a number of recordings on my UVerse DVR were deleted (not by us, not because of needed space, not because of an electricity issue). Did anyone else have this experience?

We're here to help find your recordings, mcclurd22!
We suggest reading our forums article on why your U-verse Recordings may be erased. It is good to know that this wasn't from needed space or electricity, but the article has other options such as restarting your DVR to restore the recordings and making sure your DVR is plugged directly into a wall outlet.
If you have tried all the troubleshooting options in the article, make sure that you try our Troubleshoot and Resolve Tool. It can check if there are any hardware issues in your DVR that may cause recording difficulties, and can help you get a replacement scheduled.
Let us know if this helps!

It's possible the DVR could be failing. Keep an eye on it.

I've completed the reset on the DVR box (Pace IPH8005) and it has not resolved the issue. I believe this box is equipped with a solid state drive (not a mechanical hard drive) so likely also not a failing hard drive. The DVR was at about 50% full when this happened. It is not at about 25%. Most of the deleted recordings were recorded prior to November 2021, but there are some older ones still on the drive. My biggest regret is that I lost the recording of Game 6 of the World Series between my hometown Braves and those pesky Astros.

Hey there mcclurd22, we want to help resolve this, so we will be sending you a Direct Message.
Thank you for letting us know that you tried a reset on the DVR box. We wish this could have resolved the concern for you.
In the meantime, we suggest checking all of your missing recordings to see if all of them prior to that date were deleted, or if it is random which ones were deleted.
Please check your Direct Message Inbox, which is the chat icon next to the bell icon in the upper right corner of the Forums page. We're ready to help!

A reason the suggestion is made to reset the DVR is because the listing of the recordings is stored on the server, and a reset can clear up sync issues. The actual recording is on the DVRs harddrive. Also, it is extremely unlikely any Att DVR has an SSD.
At this point I’d do a factory reset of both the gateway AND the DVR.
