Deleting "favorite channel" from APP.

I understand how frustrating it can be to get used to new apps and services.  There are a few ways to remove “favorites” on the U-Verse app.  To select a channel as a favorite, just click on the star.  Then to remove click on the star.

The alternate way to remove a “favorite” is to select Favorites towards the top of the Home Screen, all of the favorites should appear at the top.  Select the channel, after it opens, click on the star.

In theory that should work but in reality it doesn't work. There doesn't appear to be a way to remove a favorite channel. I wish this bug could be fixed soon.

When you press the favorites option at the top, does it bring up the favorite channels?  If so, what happens when you press the star?  Have you tried uninstalling, clear cache/browsing history, restart your device, then reinstall?  If none of these works, then call tech support.  I don’t understand why it’s not working.

Yes the favorites do show up when I click the star at the top. But when I try to toggle off an individual channel it briefly goes to "unstarred" then right back to "starred". It's never worked correctly since I've had the app and I've been using it for months.

I have the exact same problem. I accidentally hit the "star" on the guide, and it added the QVC channel to my favorites. I tried to delete QVC from the guide by clicking the star, yet it will not turn off the star. I then tried turning off the favorite for Showtime, and it turned off. For some reason QVC will not turn off as a favorite, yet Showtime does. This app is full of bugs.

I am running the app on a Samsung Galaxy S4, running Android 5.0.1.

And yes, I deleted the cache and restarted the device to no avail. I refuse to uninstall the app just to remove a favorite.

Oooh. Oooh. I know the answer to this problem. Open the AT&T U-verse app. Make sure you are on the HOME page. Click FAVORITES in the black bar at the top of the screen which will open up the favorites page. Click SEE ALL in the CHANNELS section of the page which will open all channels that are currently chosen as favorites. Click EDIT in the upper right-hand corner of the page which highlight all current favotires. Click the "X" on any channel to remove it from the favorites list. Click DONE when finished. Happy viewing.
