Dropping Fox from WDAF in Kansas City
I have a problem with AT&T dropping Fox from WDAF in Kansas City. We pay good money to enjoy the programming that is provided. I enjoy the service and do not want it to be interrupted. How can we stop this from happening?

Don't panic.
Tribune Corp., the owners of various TV stations, including Fox & CBS, are currently in negotiatons with ATT for broadcast rights.
Instilling panic is their MO. We've seen it time & time again.

It is now 12:03 AM Eastern Time. I am in St. Louis, and KTVI Channel 2, owned by the Tribune Company, and WGN America are still on. Is the deadline Eastern or Central Time? If it is Eastern time, then all is well. It is no longer necessary for the one time one and done posters to get hysterical anymore. If the deadline is Central time then you have 57 minutes to still be hysterical.
Edit: Doing a search, the deadline passed at midnight Eastern Time. All is well. No longer any need to worry. Breathe.

I have been with AT&T for my entire adult life. My husband and I watch Fox4 every day in Kansas City (WDAF). We do NOT want to see UVerse cancel Fox. If that happens, we may have to look for another carrier.

Ok, being told that U-verse may loose channel 2, KTVI in St. Louis is not creating panic. It is telling the customers the status and what may happen. Providers dropping channels happened in other markets like New York city. A major network was dropped by the provider, causing the city to miss payoff games, football games and normal programing. Yes, I want the channels I pay to be on this weekend. I am out of contract and can change my service provider if necessary.
I do think the response of "Instilling panic is their MO. We've seen it time & time again" is not a solulation. A comment yes but not at soluation. We are in negations is a status not a solution.

You're right, it's happened. Famously, Uverse and Hallmark were unable to reach an agreement for 4(?) years.
The vast majority of the time, though, these negotiations are settled well before the old contract expires and there's not even a threat of losing the rights to carry the channel. When things a getting close to the wire, the network and the provider both want you to remember those few times when channels have been dropped to, like skeeter said, create a sense of panic so you'll contact the other party and demand they come to an agreement.
