DVR begins recording baseball games long after they begin

Hello,

This happened last year also.  I have baseball games scheduled as a series to record, game after game after game.  Sometimes the dvr doesn't begin recording for at least 5 innings such that I can't watch the game from the beginning.  The scheduling choices show the correct start times and the settings for the series are any day, any time.  Why then do I loose the beginning of games?  What can I do about it?

@RangersBB  If the DVR functions are still not working, try a Non-Destructive Disaster Recovery.

Unplug the power cord of the DVR from the wall or from the back of the box and wait ten seconds. Plug the DVR back in.

When three white dots appear on the screen, unplug the DVR again. Repeat this process two more times.

Plug the DVR back in on the third time and leave in. Three white dots appear followed by a gear with a status bar at the bottom of the screen.

If the Disaster Recovery screen does not appear, repeat the steps above. If the Disaster Recovery screen appears, wait until completion.

If the Non-Destructive Disaster Recovery does not work, follow the steps for a Force Disaster Recovery

Re-downloads all the software. Will not erase recordings, takes a bit of time or so. Good luck 😉

Never mind what the "scheduling choices" say; what does the "upcoming recordings" list say?  Does the list have the correct start times?

For that matter, do the start times in the guide/on the list match the actual game start times?  Compare the scheduled recording dates/times to the actual schedule (e.g. on the MLB or ESPN websites).

Do the recordings start the same amount of time into the game (e.g. one hour late)?

Do the recordings stop after the scheduled amount of time?  Do they stop when they are expected to stop in terms of time of day?

(In other words, if a game is scheduled from 1 to 4:30 PM, and the recording starts at 3 PM, when does it end - 4:30, 6:30, or something else?)

My first thought was that you should delete the "series" recording, then create a new one.
