Failure to connect Samsung smart tv to wifi internet

I have installed at&t wifi recently, and my laptop and my smartphone are connected to the wifi internet normally. But my Samsung smart tv can't be connected to the wifi internet. It says "connected to the wireless network, but not the internet." 

I can not find any reason for this problem.

We're here to assist with your Wif-Fi connectivity, @htkim27.

First, we recommend restarting your gateway as this can correct any settings that may be causing the error to occur. You can take these steps to do so:

  • Unplug the power cord from the back of your gateway or modem. If you have:

    • An internal battery backup, remove it

    • DSL, unplug the phone cord from your modem or gateway
  1. Wait 20 seconds.

  2. Put the internal battery back in if you have one.

  3. Plug the power cord back in. If you have DSL service, reconnect the phone cord.

  4. Wait up to 10 minutes for the gateway or modem to restart and your Broadband light to turn solid green.

While you do that, please let us know the following:

  • Have you tried resetting your Samsung TV?

  • Have you tried using an ethernet cable?

This will help us isolate the issue to the device or the gateway.
