Getting an error when trying to play movie from uverse app

Trying to play a movie from ondemand selection will start with an ad that plays fine and starts playing the movie for about 3 seconds and then stops and displays an error... error code: fe0006. That happens from an android phone. When trying to play from an amazon fire tv device, the uverse app just force closes and brings me back the the amazon home screen when clicking on play or resume for the selected moview.

Any ideas on what the code means? I can't find anything to try to pinpoint a cause. Ive tried uninstalling, rebooting and reinstalling but still doesn't work.
