It is absolutely fantastic to see the Halmark channels back on U-Verse!!!! We have gone a painful few years without them, and my wife has made my life miserable. I was close to canceling U-Verse and switching back to Time-Warner, but this eliminates the issue.

@ATTU-verseCare, you're going to kill me for this, but:
Can you explain what the following phrase in your graphic is intended to mean?
"When you're on the go, live and recorded programming from both channels will be available on the U-verse app and at Uverse.com" [emphasis mine]
If you were trying to say that live programs (such as "Home & Family") as well as pre-recorded shows (such as "Cedar Cove"), that's great. However, you know people are going to read this to mean that they can watch shows they've recorded on their DVR using these mechanisms. And, unless you know something the rest of us haven't been told, that's not gonna happen.

Hi @JefferMC,
Thank you for pointing that out. That is exactly what was meant. We have updated the post to avoid confusion.
Thank you,

TWM,
Your situation, closely, mirrors mine. I was ready for the same reason, to leap, as well!

That wouldn't be a bad idea. Dish has sling technology built into their DVRs. I wonder if you can access recorded shows via their "version" of uverse.com.

Probably not.
The merger was approved by the FCC. It will take a very long time for the technology to merge.
The merger between Sirius and XM was approved in 2008. As of 2011, some stuff still hadn't been fully merged.
Mergers between large companies that use different technologies don't happen "overnight."

Dag, it took five years to get Hallmark back. I estimate it will take that long to get Starz and Encore back as well if we lose them by the end of this month.

Since NHL is carried on DirecTV, does that automatically mean we'll get that as well?

We're assuming that it's how it was negotiated with Hallmark. Who knows what the reasoning is.

We lost the Scripps Network channels for approximately 5-10 days.
NHL Network is still lost.
All other channels were successfully negotiated before they were dropped...and channels are negotiated for constantly.
