I too have called. What makes me MAD is every time (3 in 2 days) I get someone NOT in The United States!!!! Today they kept transferring me 3 times to another foreign person. VERY frustrating!!!!
I hate that they try and make the overseas people pretend to not be from whatever country they are in by telling customers they have names like Adam, Susan, Michelle, Michael and etc. It's insulting to them and to the customers.

If you have an actual issue @Joyn1980, I would recommend that you send a private message to the escalation team at AT&T Customer Care, and someone will get in touch with you. You will get an American.....
Truthfully (as long we are being honest, right?), if you call during normal hours (say 9 AM - 7 PM ET), you will get an American. The only times that I don't is like at 2 AM ET, when reporting an outage.
I do call during the day. Never get United States. The
last time I call I was transferred 3 times before getting USA. I'm waiting for problem to be resolved today. Day 3 in a row, phones calls 4 in 2 days. Hopeful.😊
