wdelisi the multi-view can not be set up into a split screen (only view two channels in a large format rather than tiles). You will get one larger picture to the left and the other channels will be tiles on the right side. You can select a "tile" to move it to the larger area on the left, or select it so it will display as a full screen. You can also set up a recording from the tiles.
Here is a link to the AT&T web page explaining it: AT&T U-verse TV Multiview

It would be nice if U-verse had a split screen PIP to toggle back and forth to view the same 2 stations as an option. Thanks for your reply.

I agree that would be nice. Maybe some day with upgrades and enhancements this might be an option.

This multi-view is poor decision and basically useless. What's the point in the wasted border space? I'm watching on a 50'' tv and you can barely see the small screens. Can't figure out why this wouldn't just function like a regular PIP.

Same faults reported on intro, some eight years ago.
Also, uses same list a Favorites guide causing interference with that feature.
Allows more than the number of channels that fit on the screen but provides no tools to sort by importance.
Trying to watch the itsy-bitsy picture requires a double dose of pepto-bismal.

@Saparrothead - Depends on what you are willing to do & accept.
Many TV PIPs have only one HD input the other must be Over the air. Can your TV PIP do two HDMI inputs? Are you willing to have one picture OTA?
If not (& TV has an analog tuner) you can feed the antenna input with a u-verse COAX output tuner tuned to chan 3. Not HD.
Of coure, you need two STBs & you need unique control of each, which requires a Logitech Harmony hub system.

If you go to all that effort, why not get a second TV & have a big HD picture. Just get a different TV so that each TV uses different IR. See my avatar.

This solution is useless as too much space is wasted. And the smaller screen(s) are even smaller and can not read the screen. Pls fix this. We pay too much money for this option to not work as a split screen . I would like the viewable screens to be bigger side-by-side or as a viewable cluster as 2x2.
