How long does HD take after online order.

If I order HD online how does it start right away?

My HD TV gets delivered Friday and I want to try HD right away.

Normally, it takes only a few minutes for the change to take affect.  There have been a few cases where orders have gotten hung up in the system, and it has taken a couple of days for the order to be processed.

Thanks.  I'll order after my TV gets here Friday and hope for the best.

My only experience was ordering the HBO/Cinemax preview.  I signed up on the computer then went to the TV and it was already working.  I'd guess HD package should be the same.

Keep in mind to ask for a promotion.  Many times, they'll give you so many months of HD for free.  When it expires, call back in and ask again.

If you have problems, like bad wiring, the HD can be affected, so that's something to keep in mind.  A simple service call can take care of those issues.  However, the customer service agent on the phone should be able to figure out if you'd have any issues with HD service.

Well, I just called to see what deals were available to add HD and I got the first month free.

The customer service person said it would activate right away.

My HD TV comes tomorrow so I figured I'd record an HD show or two to watch when I have my new TV.  All the HD channels say I am not subscribed.  How else do I tell if HD is on?  Will HD work with an SD TV?

To wrap this up, it took about 2 hours for HD to be available.

You can watch HD content on an SD TV and I was able to record HD so I'll have something to watch right away.
