How to find missed shows on U-verse?

If we did not record a show, can we go back to find a missed show?  I have the newest dvr and I thought the tech showed me where to search days for past shows, now i can't find it,

Use the 'search' feature for future showings or check the On Demand option.

@findepisodes - If it's currently showing then push the Info button on the remote.  Note your questions is not the subject of this particular thread.

Let's see what can be done on this @pgthatsme.

  • Are you having shows deleted or missing from your playlist? If so, ywe would recommend checking our page for Missing recordings to help provide recommendations.
  • If you are missing the On-Demand version from searching for the content have you followed the steps for resets and recovery listed for how to troubleshoot your DVR? Performing the Non-Disaster Recovery for DVR/Receivers step will likely help resolve the missing services.
    • Please do not do the disaster recovery step listed due to that would cause you to lose recordings that you have saved.

Give these a look and let us know if there is anything else we can do at AT&T to assist @pgthatsme.

If you missed a show and forgot to record it, you'll have to use the ABC app or website to watch it. It *may* be on the "On Demand" option by going to channel 1 or pressing the "On Demand" button, but a lot of channel owners have recently been slimming down on demand offerings in favor of their own apps and websites.

@pgthatsme,

We understand that you would like to go back and watch a show that has already aired. You can view it if its available from the channel provider.

Please check On Demand for the show that you wish to watch.

We hope that this information helps!

Hello @pgthatsme,

Unfortunately as stated by our ACE a lot of networks have recently cut back on their on demand offerings in favor of their own apps and websites.

On demand content is controlled by the individual networks so they are in their right to do so but we understand the frustration this may cause.

To search for a show you can follow these steps.

  1. Press the Menu button on your remote.
  2. Select Search then press OK.
  3. In the Search screen, press Filters to narrow your search or enter the title or name of the show you want.
  4. When you see the title you want to record, press Info on your remote to record a single episode or the entire series.

We hope this helps @pgthatsme, please let us know if we can be of any further assistance.

Reading this thread provides me with the frustration I feel when I call ATT.  A string of answers that AREN'T answers but telling us to go in as we already have via search or On Demand to find something that isn't there which we already knew.

The majority of the time our calls get sent to another country.  Although I'm in favor of opportunity for ALL, I still feel that there is a disconnect in finding someone on the other end who understands what is being asked.  Two long hours later and sometimes ANOTHER 2 hour call the same day you still have no answer but a very friendly and apologetic individual on the other end.

Sadly I want to cancel my subscription as between my account,  including my phone and adding an address to my account (which came at the regular price and has also increased by $30 to $142 a month) so that my 83 yr old mom can watch the "Hallmark Channel", I'm paying $550 a month yet I dont want to be stuck on the phone for 2 hours to figure out how to just keep my WiFi and cancel the rest. IT'S well, I hate for my mom to have nothing which is where she was at as she couldn't afford the bill and was trying useless antennas.   I find it SSSAAAAAAADDD that we pay so darned much money and can't get episodes previously aired.  What the (Edited per community guidelines) is On Demand for if you can't demand to see the first 4 episodes of the 5th season of Queen of the South because you didn't realize it even came out?  Why would I pay for yet ANOTHER app to watch a show I SHOULD be able to get on my overpriced cable subscription?

This is why ATT will not survive with their cable/television offerings.  They ship all their work out to another country while Americans are STRUGGLING to get any answers on the phone OR internet while their bill keeps rising and the product becomes less and less attractive or viable.  Increased price for DECREASED availability does not equal longevity.

You would have to talk to the owners of the channels as to why those shows are only available via specific methods.

TV providers don't have control over what is available via TV receivers or apps. They only provide a method to watch programming.
