Is there a way to turn off lights on set top box, specifically the wireless TV boxes ISB7005.

Green wireless indicator, link, and record lights

You cannot 'turn them off' but you could cover that area with black electrical tape.

@skeeterintexas -- Do you remember the older boxes before they had the update? Those bright blue lights were painful.

Yes and articles have came out now that blue colored lights mess with your sleep.

In fact, my 5th gen Kindle Fire 7 Tablet (the $50 one) has a blue shade option, that turns everything sepia, for use at night.

IOS 9.3 is supposed to do the same thing automatically after sundown.

I discovered that I was super sensitive to the blue light after having cataract surgery.  I had horrible insomnia the days following.

I did some Googling on the cause of insomnia since I didn't want to resort to sleeping pills.  There's really interesting research on the circadian cycle and the effect that blue light has on our sleep cycles.

I installed f.lux on my computer and my optomistrist introduced me to blue block lenses when I got glasses.  Wearing them after 6:00pm seems to help trick my brain!
