I have U200 but cannot view all the channels via the Uverse site. How can I access them?

My channel options online are very limited compared to the access via my TV. Why do I not have the same access to channels online that I do directly on my television?

Thanks!

Are you logged in and connected via a UVerse internet?  To be able to watch all the live tv options you need to be on your home network.

As OU says, the in-home connection allows the maximum amount of content to view. But, on-line does not necessarily match TV channels. On-line is show by show. Possibly even episode by episode. The number is constantly changing. If you see a show on line once, it will probably be available tomorrow. If a show is on TV does not mean it will be on the web.

The only indicator that there is a problem is if it says the show is available only with sign-on to your home network & you need to sign on. But, you are already signed on. If the show/channel is not listed, at all, it probably is not contractually available.

Yes. I am logged in via my home network, however, only 63-64 of the U200 channel options are showing as live, and many channels we are subscribed to are showing as locked.

tsjones777 - OK, I tried uverse.com & I am reminded it may not work with Google Chrome. So, you are using a supported browser?

I have U200. Mine says I have 72 channels currently available. To get up to 122 I need to upgrade.

The difference between your 63-64 & my 72 & all the u200 chans is unpredictable, variable & is probably due to location.
I did not notice any that are locked that should not be. I believe that is controlled by the plug-in. If that is failing send a PM to attcustomercare.

Not all of the U200 channels have any facility for online streaming in any form.  Some that do have not reached an agreement with AT&T to allow their subscribers to stream them.  Unless you have found that channel in the Uverse.com lineup, you should not have an expectation that any given U-200 channels has U-verse Live availability.

To add to what Jeffer said, some services vary region by region (I don't know why) but that could also be the reason why you may not see the same number of channels available as another U200 subscriber might see.

Thank you. I used both IE and Firefox with same results. I was unaware about the streaming agreement issue. Otherwise it seems odd to have to upgrade just to see some of the online channels which are already part of the Uverse line up we have via the Gateway.

That didn't make sense to me either.  If the channels in your package are being streamed live on line you shsould be able to see them unless there is an issue related to what region you live in is preventing it.

The upgrade indicator is intended to apply to channels above your package. It is a sales pitch. You have 200, so the upgrade is to get you to buy in to 300 to see channels you cannot get now.

I believe this should NOT be on this app at all. I just want to watch what I know I can watch. I am not trolling for anything to watch & would never upgrade on impulse triggered by one immediate viewing.

My intent in post 5 is to say that if you are seeing a lock on a u200 channel it is being incorrectly applied by the plug-in. You could try reloading the plug-in, but I do not know how you would do that. So, I did not suggest that. That is why I suggested you contact customer care.

The locking of a 200 channel (for you) is a bug. The locking of u300 channels is guerrilla marketing. The lack of including all 200 channels is poor implementation - at the very least the situation should be acknowledged & indication that they are working to complete the channel list as soon as possible.

Understood and I agree. Tried reloading the plug in but that did not help. For the record there are channels that are part of our subscription that are showing up as locked and requiring an upgrade. I will take it up with Customer Service.

Thanks again for all the input and advice!
