I lost Hallmark Movies & Mysteries - why?

I noticed, and delighted in the fact that I had NOT only the regular Hallmark channel (HALL), but also the Hallmark Movies & Mystery (HMM) channel.  (365 & 366). Even after I renewed my contract with U-verse, it was there.  I’ve been gone with work for the best part of the last week, and was looking forward to watching (Edited per community guidelines), She Wrote.  And find I no longer have that channel!!!

I have NEVER missed a channel that disappeared like I miss HMM!

Why was it removed from the U-200 channel line-up?

Found this info:

Note: Hallmark Channel is available in TV packages U200 and above. Hallmark Movies & Mysteries is available in U300 and above. Both packages are available in U-family. If you don't get Hallmark Channel or Hallmark Movies & Mysteries, go to Ch. 9910 to upgrade your service or sign in to myAT&T to upgrade online.

Perhaps it was part of the "Pandemic Preview" that recently ended.

I was frustrated enough that I actually called AT&T. Essentially - they open channels for folks for several days to several weeks, then shut them off again. In this case, to get the channel, I would have to change my plan to the U300 to get HMM back.  Annoying!

I do wish TPTB would be a little more transparent when they 'preview' channels.

I suppose we just have to remember that IF you suddenly see a channel you don't normally get, enjoy it while you can and know that it could be gone tomorrow.

EwGross -- Every provider has free previews. Usually, they're just for a weekend or so, but due to the health pandemic, these previews were for longer.

Yeah, it can be annoying to have a preview end, but that's why they're previews. Call 800-288-2020 and maybe you can better your rate when you upgrade.

I only want to watch the HMM Mystery channel, and am an ATT "Loyal Customer".  My TV promotion expires this month and goes up $70 for the U300.  Is there another way I can watch the HMM Mystery channel and drop my ATT Uverse service.  My TVs have internet connections so I can stream onto them.  Thanks for any information.

@HMM_Watcher   Hallmark's stand alone streaming service is Hallmark Movies Now

It looks like it's $5.99 a month for all three Hallmark channels.  Follow the link above for more information.

Let's see if we can get you back to watching your favorite shows, @HMM_Watcher.

Do you get any error messages on the channels?

Have you rebooted your receiver?

We recommend that you reboot your receiver because this will refresh the connection.

Let us know if this helps.

My problem is that ATT is basically raising my ATT Uverse rate up $70 due to my promotion period is over and since I AM AN EXISTING CUSTOMER they will not work with me but if I was a New customer they would be willing to give me a better rate.  I want to cancel my ATT Uverse U300 and subscribe to a service to watch just the Hallmark channels.

Thanks

Uverse does not have NEW customers as they are no longer offering Uverse.

They are 'phasing' Uverse out in favor of ATT TV so they have no incentive to offer discounts.

They keep saying I can change to Uverse 200 but like mentioned above it no longer has HMM.  Well I have Digital Life, 6 Ipad services, 4 Telephones, Internet 1000, and TV....I guess it is time to look at Xfinity.

Thanks

Have you tried to negotiate a new rate? I was just able to do this last month.

Many providers will offer really low rates to new customers because they know they may have to pay to get out of a contract. The really low rates help offset the cost of bailing on that contract.

I have been talking with the "loyalty Customer Service" team several times over the last year and once again today...No promotions or reduction of rates

@my thoughts

"ATT TV is 2 year contract with discounts in months 1-12 full price 13-24."

You may want to confirm that. As of last I heard, there are some AT&T TV plans that are contract-free.
