i pay for hbo on Uverse. Why does amazon prime want me to pay to watch hbo shows?
I want to watch the Wire. I is available through amazon prime but they want me to pay for an HBO subscription to watch it for free. I already pay for HBO on my att Uverse account?? what gives??

Because Amazon sells an HBO subscription on their own, known as a Amazon Prime Video Channel, and if you want to watch HBO via the Amazon Prime Video app, that's what you need.
If you want to watch it on the HBO app or the U-verse App, then you should be able to using your AT&T U-verse U450 subscription (or your separate HBO option) by logging in to your AT&T U-verse account in that app. The Amazon App doesn't allow for that path.
