Longhorn Network - Just say 'No'
I greatly appreciate the value provided by AT&T in bundling tv/wireless/internet services. Similarly, the bundling of channels allows customers to access a variety of programming at substantial savings.
However, occasionally, programming comes along that is so expensive and directed at such a narrow, niche market that it deserves to be left off of the programming options or ordered solely as an 'a la carte' option. If the reports about the price tag to cable providers to offer the 'longhorn network' (by ESPN) are accurate, the only way it could be added to current bundled programming packages is at substantial cost to MANY people who have no interest in the programming.
Please AT&T, keep prices low, by either not offering or charging ONLY those who desire this programming option.
Thanks!

Sure! A TV provider can always increase rates. What is the amount of the annual increase that you would like to see next year for all of the new channels and features that you would like to see added? As long as you are willing to accept higher rates, there really is no limit as to what new channels can be added.

not hardly. im a big fan of good ol' JR and id look forward to home and home series vs OU that'd be awesome.
if youve been a fan since the big 8 days like you shouldnt need a history lesson on who the common problem is with swc now big 12 among them schools. once can be an accident, twice is a trend.
edit: too bad it cant be nebraska taking UTs place, oh wait, texas run them off too, what a shame. aint you the least bit worried about all that kissing bevo-hind thats going on?

You will not see Texas in the pac 12 with the LHN. They would have to give up the LHN,and share revenue equally based on pac 12 model in order to get in.

If ATT adds LHN I will drop my service as well. If there is a provider in my area not carrying LHN, I will find it. Someone compared LHN to the NFL network. They are not the same. If there was an NCAA network, that would be the same. LHN would be more like having a Texans network. No thanks!

What will you do if every provider in your area carries the network?

Spd, the difference is whatever reason the poster wants to give as to why it is different.

Um, okay...I just figured that people who don't like a particular team, just flip to another channel or don't watch at all. I'm sports-challenged-confused?

This thread is way too long, I don't care which tier, I have all of the channels, I will probably only watch it on rare occasions for some games. Unless its a blow out and then I am turning it.

LOL. I would think there would be complaints about those who don't want to pay for ESPN as part of their package especially from the non-sports fans because the TV providers pay over $4/month per subscriber for that one channel.
Also, as I have stated before, the opposition to the Longhorn Network has nothing to do with the reasons given in most of the posts made by those who oppose it. The reasons that are stated could apply to almost every channel in the U-verse lineup.

I vote NO to ESPN...can I get a discount on my package?
Just don't get it, but mostly sounds like Aggies jealous of Longhorns? Can't we (Texans) all just get along?

Go, Houston! Boo-Hiss, Dallas! j/k
I read this recently (your local paper), and my head hurts!
...One league source said Sunday that the anticipated interest from lawmakers probably "has more to do with Texas" than A&M because a Longhorns move to the Pac-12 -- if finalized -- could kill the Big 12. A&M announced plans Wednesday to withdraw from the Big 12, pending an invitation to the SEC...

Well very interesting ATT since smaller cable companies and Verizon Fios can do it. You are a large company and make plenty of money on high rates. JUST MAKE IT HAPPEN!!!!
