Loss of channels
AT&T has failed to properly prepare for the anticipated end of contract negotiation with Nexstar - resulting in the loss of ABC station, a MAJOR network. This continues to happen, as in the past, when other channels were removed from the lineup - as your customers continue to pay increased costs in service. We set up another TV(purchased an antennae) that would give us this basic channel for the interim - assuming we will get the channel back at some time in the future! I think it's time to contact other providers who can provide continuing service that we PAY for and don't get with AT&T.

Since NBC and CBS affiliates have been dropped from my channel lineup and AT&T is not paying to carry those two local affiliates during the dispute, can't I be reimbursed for the loss of those two channels?

Nexstar is trying to hold US hostage! Nexstar wants to take advantage of all rebroadcast providers even after posting record profits. RE- Broadcasting fees are another wasted expense.
How do we (the customer) stop this madness.

I just moved to theOhio area from the east coast & I was deeply disappointed to realize a WEEK after getting my service installed that I do not have access to NBC - a station that I watch for specific programs EVERY day!! Is there an alternative station on Uverse to watch my shows? I really want to get rid of my service if this is not resolved quickly! Hulu & satellite alternatives are looking very good to me right now😡 I hope customer preferences overrides money & profits—

We have AT&T Uverse and have lost 3 channels (4, 6 & 😎 that we frequently watch, one of them being local!!! We pay almost $200.00 a month for TV and internet and find this to be totally unacceptable!!!!! Please do whatever you can to rectify the problems or we'll have to cancel our service. We're senior citizens with a very limited income. Thank you.

This really stinks!! Is the cost going to go down as the number of channels goes down? Both sides of this are making a ton of money, our fees and advertisers. This needs to be resolved now!!

Why does directv insist on using their customers as pawns in their battle with TV stations. We pay an outrageous amount every month and now we can't even watch 2 of our local channels. This needs to be fixed now or Directv is going to lose alot of long time customers

On July 4, we lost access to CBS on UVerse due to AT&T contract disputes with Nextstar. From my understanding, Nextstar is not asking for anything unreasonable as other cable providers have the same contract deal as far as pricing, etc... For AT&T to suddenly cut off any channel from viewing without proper and timely notice is careless and irresponsible. We understand there are other choices for watching CBS; however, we are paying for this channel. Our bill was not reduced because of the less service we are receiving after losing this channel. Yes, this is only one channel;. However, one channel will soon turn into more channels being lost. We have been customers of AT&T for not only television services but also online services as well as wireless phone services for over 15 years. AT&T has a responsibility to their customers to notify them in a timely manner which was not done. If this is not fixed, we will be canceling all AT&T services.

Sheesh nobody reads or listens
While AT&T employees do look at forum posts from time to time, we are here to represent the forum with our experiences as customers and do not represent AT&T in any official capacity with our responses and do so on our own time unpaid and off the clock. As employees we are not rewarded nor compensated to participate in these forums This forum is comprised of regular customers to communicate with other customers to offer advice and share experiences same as any other user Although there is a small team of customer care specialists that monitor the forums the sheer volume of posts are simply too many posts for these agents to respond to each one of them.
