MeTV/ MeTVHD - What happened to subscription?
I have been watching MeTV/ MeTVHD on UVerse in St. Louis, Mo daily for years. Today (1/1/18), it says that I am not subscribed to the channel. What is going on?

If you look under your post, I posted the same thing several minutes ago. So far there is no answer. Perhaps, AT&T is no longer allowed to carry METV since it actually is a sub-channel.

Dallas area still has ME-TV on 136/1136 so we know it's still there. It's always been a sub-channel here (21.2) so that hasn't changed.
Further investigation will be necessary.

MeTV is Channel 4.2 on broadcast television in the St. Louis area, so the chick that I mainly go out with can still watch it on the 19 inch television in the kitchen that is on rabbit ears antenna. However, that is inconvenient since all of the other televisions are on U-verse, and I do not feel like attaching rabbit ears to them. Online research has not shown any answer to what happened to MeTV on U-verse in St. Louis.

I'd find a phone number to the station in question and call them.

According to KMOV.com only Spectrum carries METV in St. Louis area. It must be a new devolpment, even METV.com still shows it’s channel 136 on U-Verse. There’s usually advance warning on your billing statements of any programming changes.

I just called KMOV TV Channel 4 in St. Louis which carries MeTV on Channel 4.2. The representative said that the feed Channel 4 gets is a local feed while the feed that U-verse gets is a national feed. He said that the feed to Channel 4 has nothing to do with the national feed given to U-verse. Hopefully, there will be an answer on this forum sometime today about what happened to MeTV 136 and 1136.
When I check the app for U-verse on my phone, MeTV 136 and 1136 are gone.

MeTV has been both a sub channel of KMOV at 4.2 as well as on U-verse on channels 136 and 1136 at the same time for many years here in St. Louis. Nothing has changed in that time.

While this would have been the rule a while back, it is not necessarily so now. METV is OTA channel 21.2 in the Dallas area & we still have METV on 136/1136. KTXA-21 is a subsidiary of CBS. It appears that the St. Louis METV station is also a subsidiary of CBS.
@dwinth Wasn't it you that said you called the St. Louis station and was told that the local feed was different than the national feed. I have no clue what that means or how it effects the availability of that station in that market.

Skeeter: Yes, you are correct. The representative at KMOV CBS in St. Louis told me that what KMOV sends out is a local feed as opposed to the national feed that U-verse sends out. The situation you described in Dallas is exactly the same situation that St. Louis had with MeTV before today.

I am in the St. Louis, MO area and chatted online with a ATT rep as to why no more MeTV and was finally sent to an agent who called me and put me on hold and was then diconnected. All I asked was why no more MeTV here and got nothing but the run around and no answer. Is it so hard to tell customers why.

My suggestion is to call back and verify if your previous call was documented in your record with followup comment you didn't care for how you were treated from a customer sat perspective. Could come in useful later on. Cheers.

We’re having the same problem with a twist. One TV (the one with the DVR attached) and its guide say we’re not subscribed to that channel and it’s unavailable. On another TV we get the channel! On the third TV we don’t get it. I’m stumped. Same system, same U-verse plan, same everything. We can watch it on one TV but not the other two. It’s one of our favorite channels. Hope this gets straightened out quickly!

I have only checked two of my televisions, and neither carries the SD or HD version of MeTV. I need to check the other televisions to see if I have the same situation that you have.

There's a web site that shows the channels by zip code.....
https://www.att.com/channellineup/tv/tvchannellineup.html?tvType=iptv
You need to click the "all channels" link at the bottom and then you can scroll or search.
It shows METV as 136/1136 and available in the U200/U300/U450 packages as of Jan. 3....
It's too late to call and the chat shows "busy" but probably it is just shut down for the day.... I also checked the page of channel changes and it was not listed there. Just like when uverse.com was killed on the web side the communication process seems to be lacking..... not like this is a communication company or anything.....
