My thoughts/feature request

RE: #1, this has been reported to AT&T, and I think it will be returned to prior behavior.  Don't know when.

RE: #2, you say you have 18 Mbps, but for most websites anything over a couple of mbps is overkill, i.e. this fact is really not relevant.

Do you have any ad or script blockers active on your system?  Can you try it with them turned off?  What browser do you use?  IE prior to version 9 have abysmal JavaScript performance and both of these sites are heavy on JS content.  If you're so inclined, you can go into developer mode and click on the Network tab and see what parts of the page are taking the longest to load.  Sometimes it turns out to be just one script provider.

I am using the latest version of Mozilla Firefox. It seems that the website around lunch time or big holidays slows down a lot.

The first two tabs on your link contains a review of how well the construction of the forum site follows what "http://gtmetrix.com/" believes the rules of good page construction to be and grades the site on how well it follows those rules.  Since this forum site is based upon a commercial offering provided by the company Lithium, expecting that much of this is going to be changed by AT&T is, well, misplaced expectation.

The third tab shows actual performance metrics.  I'm unclear if these metrics were gathered on your browser and uploaded to the site, or gathered from one of their servers.  If not from your own browser, then it doesn't reflect your experiences.  I see that a lot of the delays for for stuff I'd probably say weren't worth the time to load, at least not every page:  Chat, Badges.  Some of the delay was for Google Analytics to load.  I'm not sure why they're using both WebTrends and Google Analytics.

Edit: Not sure when you get custom signatures.  They change the ranks and the privileges from time to time and they rarely disclose what privileges accrue to the ranks.

Uverse online has been broken since they added the automatic sign in feature, 7-10 days ago, has been reported to ATT Customer Care.

Over memorial day weekend the forum here kept getting hung up on forums.att.com. Found a work around, click the x to stop the page load then click the refresh circle and then the page loads.  On both FF 38.01 and IE 11.

Tuesday it returned to regular speed, at least for me. 😉

I have noticed the change in the TV Guide online back to the old one. Now the times are showing when you scroll down. However, i thought the automatic sign in feature was cool, i hope they can work the bugs out so they can bring that feature back.
