New Uverse Android App Black Screen

So a new app downloaded for my Android Tablet, Android 13, and I get the program sound but nothing but a black picture. Help!!

This IS the latest update. Have forced stopped and cleared cache did not fix. Uninstall reinstall did not fix. Restart did not fix.

I've GOT the Uverse App, I have HAD the Uverse App.  A new version was released and it was updated to my table.  Now when I start it and select a channel to watch I can get the audio, the sound, but the video does not appear the screen remains black.  All other screen elements are there the video is just not streaming.

It may be that the tablet doesn't have a video codec installed that the new application wants to use.

The app expects the OS/Hardware to provide whatever video infrastructure is needed.  That's mainly due to the way codex are licensed.  I have no idea, nor anyway to find out, what codec you might be missing such that you might ask the tablet manufacturer if there's a way to get it.

I haven't had that problem with this app, but I've had it with others that expect a certain version of the HEVC codex to be installed and not every tablet I have has that.

It's a standard ole Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite that was running the previous version of the app just fine. Searched around on the web and can't find anything.
