It's because UVERSE has garbage on-demand. They basically force you to use the Channels apps or websites for on demand. The uverse.com library is barely bigger and is horrible quality. AT&T has no good explanation for why their on demand is so bad. It also disables fast forwarding on network channels and some cable channels, even though if you go on a computer you can fast forward all you want on the same content.
I have U-verse 450. Why are some of the on-demand HD shows from the premium channels missing? You can be right in the middle of watching a series on demand, and there will be missing HD episodes.

Video on Demand is not for Binge Watching. Never has been. When I had Comcast, you had 3-5 of each program, not whole seasons. Things may change when TV services start to use cloud storage for maintaining programming. It does suck but with our DVR, in the 10 years that I have used U-Verse, I have used VoD exactly 3 times. I know that some folks swear by VoD but that is why I use my DVR.
Well, it's now September 2017, and ATT Uverse On Demand is still a problem as for leaving out episodes of certain TV shows. Instead of being upfront about not always having the entire episodes available (oh my gosh, bad selling pr if potential customers knew that!), the tech person made me think there was something technically wrong at their end. They wasted so much of my time telling me they're trying to fix this "problem." Apparently, it's not a technical problem, it's their programming. My son has Comcast and their On Demand had the episodes I couldn't get on Uverse.
Even trying to stream some of the episodes that were available was a joke; couldn't even bring up the same ones. After wasting so much of my time (which is money), I'm ready to hang it up with ATT U-verse esp. since the rates keep going up. I'm disgusted!
I'm having a similar issue. I recently saw a commercial for the resident on fox and wanted to check it out. I set up my recorder to start recording new episodes then I went to on demand to watch the pilot and the other 5 episodes I have not seen. Episodes 1 and 2 were not on there 3 and 4 are 5 is not and 6 is. This makes no sense to me at all. I went to the uverse app on my iphone and every episode is available on demand. I called ATT and the lady on the phone told me the app online is updated for frequently than the system at home. That makes no sense to me I'm paying a premium to watch what I want when I want on my big screen not my iphone. I don't want to have to rig something up to watch my computer on my tv. When I called the lady told me shows are only available on demand for 48 hours after they air which is total crap because episode 5 was not available yet and it aired weeks ago. It's frustrating when you pay $200 a month and can't get what you want. I see why people cut the cable. If not for NHL hockey I might.

Most likely AT&T does not have epidsode available, or the contract period for that Episode has expired.

Hi @Itsmenotyou224,
We do have a bigger library online at uverse.com and you do have the ability to log into HBO.com with your att member ID.

Happy to answer your question, @sarahacton.
On Demand program availability is controlled by the networks.
Therefor, we don't have a date for you as to when the movie will be available.
If you have any other questions, let us know.
