Options to watch HBO GO or iOS U-verse app on TV?

I recently subscribed to HBO on U-verse. I would like to watch past episodes of Game of Thrones on my TV, but I haven’t found a way to do this without buying and attaching a device like an Apple TV.

U-verse On Demand TV does not provide access to old Game of Thrones episodes (except the first episode). The On Demand feature of the U-verse app for iOS does provide access to all the old episodes, but no direct way to watch them on the TV (I don’t want to watch them on my iPad). HBO GO provides access to all the episodes, but neither my LG SmartTV nor my Samsung Blu-ray player support the HBO GO app.

I know I can get another device that either supports HBO GO or lets me stream content from my iPad to my TV, but I was wondering if there was another option.
