Our silver remote is about 10years old and the rout button will not recognize the router the stereo

Our Silver remote ATT button will not work but the TV and Audio buttons work.   What do you have to do to get a replacement?

Just call tech support (800-288-2020) and ask them to send you one.  It may not be a silver remote but newer model.  They are more-or-less the same anyhow.

Note, they don't want old remotes returned.

I second the "call now" post. They've always sent replacements to me for free.

Keep in mind that the newer remotes lose the TV/DVD/AUX buttons, so you'll need the original remotes for your other devices. If the newer remotes doesn't suit your liking, you can always buy a silver one via eBay. Other people prefer the Logitech Harmony remotes.

I have received new remotes from technical support at no cost twice in the past. That is definitely your best route.
