Parental Pin reset

Don't recall creating a Parental Pin.  How to "reset" the PIN?   There is no field to request reset.

Factory reset the dvr/receiver which will reset the default back to 1234.  Factory reset is disaster recovery described here.  Doesn't hurt too much if it's a receiver but if it's the dvr you will lose all your recordings.  You don't lose the program scheduling however.

The parental control pin is specific to each dvr and receiver.  You only have to factory reset the dvr or receiver you want the parental control pin reset on, not all the boxes, well, unless you want to reset the pin on each of the boxes.

Also note that a simple reboot of the dvr/receiver, i.e., just unplugging for 15 or more seconds and plugging back in, is not a factory reset and won't change anything.

Not sure about those "droids" (what I call them) and I don't know who (what?) is "training" them, if they receive any training at all. Man Frustrated

Thanks for the info!   New to U-Verse universe and not at home, I just called AT&T 800-288-2020 as suggested somewhere on google to request they reset remotely at their end.    Unfortunately, after AT&T rep tried to see if possible, came back and said I will need to do it when I am at home, manually VIA REMOTE on all boxes (I have 3 boxes).
He said to UNPLUG BOX for 20sec and then should reboot, then I can enter in parental code #.

(oh fun.   I thought most everything could be done remotely, as my former provider TIME WARNER now Spectrum did.  oh well, guess not).
