Picture too large on both HD TV's after 7/13/2015 update
Last week I got up on Tues morning and everything on my TV looked different. All the faces were too large with the top of their heads cut off. The commercials that were normally full screen (like the Progressive Ins ad) now either have black bars above and below the picture or black all the way around ad (even on HD channels). I have a 1080i Sharp & LG. I ran the Troubleshoot and Resolve, checked all settings on the receiver and the TV , then called AT&T, they ran checks on everything, Internet, DVR, etc with no change in my problems. Techs coming in 3 days. While talking to the tech on the phone I asked if they had a recent update, he said yes, a "major update" the same night my TV went on the fritz. Second time my TV has had problems after an AT&T update. Anyone else had this problem?

@Grammi6 That's a weird one, noboy else has reported this. Could try this:
I'd do a whole house reboot.
Unplug the RG and DVR and STB(s)and any WAP for wireless receiver(s), wait 30 seconds and plug the RG back in.
When that turns all green, then plug the DVR back in and wait until it reboots. Then if there is a WAP, plug it in and let it turn green.
Then plug in the STB(s), wait til it reboots and see if correct sizes come back and cancel the tech.
Acronym Guide so you understand all terms: http://www.dslreports.com/faq/17724
Good luck 🙂
Chris

A reboot is a good thing to do that may solve many problems. A high percentage first step.
Some things that get changed will look normal to the reboot & they will not be changed back to the way they were before the zap. Also, you do have to consder the posssibility that it is your TV.
If the problem is only the content & not the menus, the problem is u-verse. If the menus are too big to it is a TV setting. TV should be on normal or 16:9.
Things to check in u-verse are - ENTER-ZOOM and MENU-OPTIONS-SYSTEM OPTIONS-TV Screen res

Since you have mentioned both of your tvs are set to 1080i, and "All the faces were too large with the top of their heads cut off.", It has something to do with the ZOOM settings of either the STB or TV. Reset the zoom function to default or look for the button that says zoom/enter, bottom right or zoom/cc if you are using S20 remote(just make sure that the screen resolution is set to 1080i/720p or else the zoom options won't appear). Select the zoom settings according to your preference.
If after manually trying to configure the zoom settings of your STB and issue still persists, then I am sure that the TS&R tool will tell you to refer this problem to OEM or your tv manufacturer. So if you have the Sharp or LG remote control (armed with your tv manual is an option), go to your picture/display settings and manually configure the correct zoom settings.
