Problem with uverse, Firestick apps and single sign on

This past couple of weeks I noticed that tv apps like SYFY, AMC, Lifetime, etc which used to periodically aske for my uverse credentials and a app generated PIN now only asks for the cable tv provider name and supposedly connected using SSO. I noticed that an incorrect profile is detected and I am given the option to put in my valid user id and password. 

 

But now, many apps are giving a NULL error message when trying to view programs. And even when using the Uverse app I get a message that I am not subscribed. Even when I logged in with my correct valid Uverse credentials.  Anybody else? Any solutions?

I know how concerning it can be, being unable to login to my streaming apps.  No worries though I have found a way that can work for you!


This is a problem we know of and are currently working towards fixing.  In the meantime however, I have found a work-around that has seen fair success so far.  I’d like you to try the following:

1.       Delete apps from your devices (phones, tablets, tv)

2.       Create a sub-account from your primary account.

3.       Download and install the apps back to your devices.

4.       Log-in with the credentials for the newly created sub-account.

Thatseems to be working. I deleted all of the apps associated withbtye SSO from my phone, ipad, Kindle and firestick. Nut whenbteying to reinstall on the firestick the original problem persisted. I reat tw firestick to factory settings and reinstalled syfybapp ad it worked.

I am having the same issue as reported above. All of a sudden the log in screen looks differently than before and says my log in is incorrect from my firestick.
