Questions about the new U-Verse app
Just got the new app on mar 2, 2024 for my Houston Uverse account. There are several things I could do on the old app that I haven’t figured out how on the new app. I’ll just name one for now. When looking at the guide to see what is on, there are several channels missing. Example NBC ch 1002 and CBS ch 1011. Are they not supported in the new app or am I doing something wrong?

Correction, the 11 HD list is all set top box icons, not live. Still only 31 viewable channels on 200 package.

Under filter, clear all, looks to be channel 3 to 3954. Most are locked. If not locked, then set top box icon on most the rest.

Hey AT&T, instead of posting the same info over and over here when more and more customers post complaints about what a COMPLETE DISASTER the newly "updated" is, you could just start to FIX THIS PIECE OF TRASH update. Start again, go back to the previous design, which mostly worked and made sense. Instead, you have to keep telling us again and again how to "fix" your poorly designed "updated" app. And yet, no matter what we customers do, the is still a DISASTER and often simply does not function as the previous version did. Admit you made a stupid mistake and start to fix it!

The effort to innovate and improve the app is such a FAILURE. The previous version of the app was significantly more user-friendly, featuring an intuitive interface that made navigation straightforward. One of the features I found most useful was the ability to select my favorite channels from the entire range of channels included in my subscription. Unfortunately, the new version restricts this feature to a preset list of channels, which unfortunately does not have all the channels I subscribe to.
The channel listing in the old app was clearer and more informative. It distinctly highlighted new shows versus reruns, which helped in planning my viewing. The current design presents a long list of channels and programs without indicating which shows are new. This lack of clarity further reduces the functionality of the app.
The new app is a huge step back in design, usability and practicality. Its a great example of redesigning something that was working perfectly to make it unusable.

UVTVguru: Thank you for that reassurance. I think it would be helpful for U-verse to err on the side of over-communicating. The new app has been out for over 2 months and has been such a cluster I've started considering other providers.

I've gotten the guide in the new IpadOS app to display almost all of what I used to like seeing with the old app. If you can make the following 2 enhancements to what is displayed in the guide, many complaints would go away.

Looks like the U-verse Program Guide has functionality restored, so thank you for getting it done. I would like to second texgeekboy's suggested enhancements above.

Although I can now delete and add some recordings from the app, it is still difficult to find episodes from series recordings and some do not even show up. The app has improved, but only slightly. It is still barely functional.

Another request if I may. In order to state it, let's assume it is currently 8:00AM on Monday, 5/20/24. I go to look at the guide for Thursday, 7:00 PM Thursday, 5/23/24 and I see a show I'm interested in. I click the box, it brings up some details about the show, but I need more so I press the 'Info' (the app isn't in front of me and I don't recall the exact phrase) button. It brings up the info I want to see, great. I then press the back arrows at the top of the page, and it takes me back to 8:00 AM Monday, 5/20/24. Note that if I didn't press the 'Info' button to get to a more detailed view, the back button takes you back to 7:00 PM Thursday, 5/23/24. The app always needs to remember where you were, and not always bring you back to the current time.
