Quicker and easier logins to stream U-Verse channels

How can I directly log into Fox News without being limited to 3 minutes or signing in to my AT&T account every morning? I have a notebook computer so I shut it down when I'm not using it. The next morning, I have to go through the same arduous routine to watch the news. I have had AT&T for almost a year now and it seems like the customer service is getting worse and is now approaching the cable company I was so glad to leave.

I believe fox news, like most other tv network streaming websites, requires you to log in specifying a cable provider, uverse in our case.  It should remember that so you don't have to log in if you visit the site again in the future.  Once logged in it will display an option to log out.

You say you shut down your computer and have to log in again.  I think you will see the same result if you quit your browser and relaunch it too which is essentially the same as shutting down from the browser's point of view.  The site's login status is saved in a cookie.  I think your cookie is not being saved when you quit the browser.  In other words you have something that is either (a) not saving the cookie at all, (b) not saving the cookie when you leave the site, or (c) not saving the cookie when you quit the browser, i.e., a session cookie.

So you need to find out what's causing the cookie problem. Which browser are you using?  There are extensions that will do some of the things I mentioned to cookies.  And some browsers actually have some of these controls built-in (e.g., Firefox permissions settings).

Try using another browser for comparison.  Log into the site.  Quit the browser.  Access the site again.
