recording of 3 hour show stops playing after one hour.  Says it is "Finished", but green line shows it recorded the full 3 hours.

I have also had that happen multiple times. I was never able to get an answer as to why it happened.

That means it didn't actually record.  They changed how uverse works a while back it used to be more precise about what did and did not get recorded, now it just crashes when it gets to a bad section.

So now the question is why did it stop recording after 1 hour?

Is the DVR going bad?

Was there a power outage?

Was there an internet outage?

are you having other internet/line issues?

I am not currently experiencing this problem, but in the past, it would show it recorded the full show as I set it to record, however, playback would just stop. No matter what I tried, I could never get it to play beyond wherever it chose to stop playback.

We are here to help you with your recordings, @ifonly01.

We recommend that you reboot your gateway. This will refresh the network and all of your equipment. This will help refresh your system and may get your DVR working properly.

Let us know if this helps.

Happened again. I recorded a show a couple days ago. It showed as having recorded for 1 hr and 6 min. It played for about 20 minutes then stopped and displayed Finished. I tried rebooting the gateway, but that did nothing. Frustrating since the show will not be rerun.
