Seeking a regular channel numbers listing guide

When you sign up for uverse, you get a laminated card with channels.  And at one point you could print out a listing with #s for each channel so you could key in the number code to go to a specific channel rather than scrolling a guide or searching.

I have searched Uverse, Att and even spent 20 min on 'Chat with ATT" and can't seem to locate a guide that has #s in it next to the channel name, by package type or otherwise.

This must exist somewhere.   The links from the July 2016 forum exchange are invalid.

This is what chat support provided:   https://www.att.com/Common/PDF/U-verse_English_Channel_Lineup.pdf

But it is a sales listing of what is available in each bundle, not the actual numbers of the channels.

Good to have that online, but if I want to look up CNN or Lifetime or TNT to switch over too and key that channel # in I don't want to have to get up and walk to my computer to look it up...and even then do a search to find it.   I want to just look at an alphabetical list and look it up.    LIKE The brochure you give out when people are new subscribers.  Get that and print it.   I got one from the repair guy so I'm all set... but you have hundreds of thousands of subscribers that get frustrated every day because they have to go through multiple steps to find a station or key in via number pad the name of a station..... just lame.   Should have a simple pdf that people can print on your resource section of your website or in the account section.. "print your channel guide".

Well, I never got a laminated card so I'm jealous...that being said, I've had Uverse for almost 9 years so I have all of the channels memorized.

The problem with making a channel NUMBER guide is that when it comes to network stations, those will have different numbers depending on your area.  For example, my Fox channel is 4, same as OTA, HD is 1004.  My CBS channel is 11 (same as OTA) and HD is 1011.  NBC is 5 (UV & OTA) with HD being 1005.  See what I mean?  This applies to PBS, WB, and other local stations.  Here in the Dallas area, we have additional independent local channels along with the commercial and pay networks.

I agree that it would be nice to see a listing of the cable (only) channels like Lifetime, Bravo, NFL, etc., those that are the same nationwide but you can see how it would be difficult to print up a channel guide for each area, independent of the others.

@randboc  Going from 1202 to 1360 to 1108/9, you'll start remembering most of your favorite channel's #s and won't be able to find that printed page after awhile anyways.

Can tell you I never got a printed page of channels when I was installed more than 8 years ago when there were not that many channels then.

For me I just hid the channels I have no interest in, then can browse those from 99 to music in the 5100s in less than 2 minutes on my u200 service. 😉

Edit:  What's great about Uverse, groups are layed out all together, news, sports, locals, feature/general, religion, kids, pay movies.  So can jump to one and find the others near.  Not all scattered up like most 'cable' systems have.  And the HD version just adds a 1 b4 the channel #.

@randboc - There are many different ways to select what to watch. My two preferences are -

1) Build a favorites guide & select programs from the guide. I have no idea what channel number it is assigned to. I just select programs.

2) Set up series recordings for my favorite shows. I select programs from the list of recorded shows. I can still watch them at a specific time each day or week, but, it is a time I decide. for example, one of the best shows on is CBS sunday morning. But, nobody knows because it is low on the priority list at that time. I watch it at seven  followed by sixty minutes.

Telephone numbers & Channel numbers are no onger necessary to know. Just press the button for the person you want to call or show you want to watch.
