source list when changing input

When I change input to go from tv to roku or vice-versa the source list remains on the screen for quite some time before disapearing. How can I get it off at the time I change input.

Some tv's allow the att remotes to bring up the tv's input select menu and navigate the tv's input menu.  Some can only bring up the menu and cannot navigate it.  And some can't even bring up the menu at all.   But there is nothing to explicitly dismiss the tv's input menu (unless you are lucky enough to find a button that happens to do it).  With my Sony tv the input select menu dismisses itself when not interacting with it for a few seconds and the att remote assumes that for all tv's.  So if the tv doesn't do that then you have to use your tv's remote to dismiss the input select memu.

Bottom line of all this, IMO it is much faster and simpler to keep your tv's remote nearby and use it to switch inputs and forget about the att remote to do that action.  As I said I could switch inputs with the att remote but I never use it and use my Sony's remote instead.

The only things you can count on with a properly programmed att remote is on/off and volume (and sometimes mute).  Anything else is just luck and do all those other tv related operations with the tv's own remote.

That's an issue with your TV.  Check your TV Owner's Manual.
