Source option not working.

I used my source option on my samsung remote to get to Roku but it's not working now for some reason. I used it once since i went to U-Verse tv and it worked the first time but tried it tonight and it wouldn't work so i had to use source option on front of tv so any suggestions on what i can do to fix it?

I think I found it on my u-verse remote but it's slow to disappear off screen after options choices pop up. Just gotta work out the kinks.

Does the samsung "source option" select the input (port) from a device to the tv?  If so, then if it doesn't work with the samsung remote that came with the tv, why should you expect it to work with any other remote?  I doubt your samsung remote is broken if all other functions work.

I suggest you read your samsung user manual.  If "source" is the input select then look at your tv connections to see which port you plugged the Roku into. They are labeled and should match up with the input selections from some menu that usually gets displayed when you go to select an input port.

Are you using HDMI?  If so, as an experiment, once you select the proper port, turn the tv off and then on again.  Maybe you're encountering a hdmi handshake problem.  This experiment may help confirm that because then I would expect your tv "sees" the Roku (still assuming you selected the proper port).

Again, I am assuming "source" is the input select.  If it isn't, then ignore this post! Man Sad

...well possibly except for the RTFM suggestion Man Wink

Update, i finally figured it out. I had Comcast previously and i used the source option on the remote that came with the tv instead of Comcast remote. I now use the source option on U-verse remote to get to Netflix and it works fine. I just couldn't remember how it worked from when we had U-Verse previously.
