Stingray Music Channels not acessible

My U-verse will not allow me to access the Stingray channels because I do not have the Elite Internet package!!! Not good U-Verse; not good. I pay a lot of money for my U-verse bundle, voice, Internet and U450 TV.

As a music lover who plays music most of the time, the Music Choice channels were phenomenal in offering so many kinds of music that I could select whatever kind suited my moods. Have noticed while scrolling thru Stingray channels that majority of music is directed to pop and modern stuff. I love Classical music but there is no Classical music.

Please, U-Verse, go back to Music Choice.

After much trial and error, have found that I can access Stingray thru channel 1531. Also found the classical channels. However, still cannot access by individual channel which I should be able to since I have the Max internet package which is a step above Elite.

Now will see if music selection is good.

Do you have any of the 51xx channels?  If so, choose one click OK and see what happens, might ask if you want to download them.  You're actually going back into the same app as 1531 and get get the same app menu by pressing Back button

Just press Exit to TV to exit back to the 51xx channel. 😉

Go to 1531, 6 classical channels to choose from. 😉

Bet some heads are rolling with the music channels being unavailable... for a whole month (Feb 28 - Mar 28). If not, I hope so! My father is 81 years old and that is the main reason he has cable services. Been given the run around for a few days now about why this is happening. Then seems that he has to add internet service to his account to listen to music? CRAZY!!!! This is a man who just recently got a flip phone because I insisted on it! He has no use for internet on his account. He will be moving his business to another provider as soon as we can research options for him. Oh did I mention he has had your services for many years and pays his bill the next day after receiving.

Nope, no heads are rolling, at AT&T, @Sherrie1959 .  It was all planned out.  They decided to go with Stingray in lieu of Music Choice.  I'm sure it was to save a dollar or two.  Unfortunately, they got what they paid for.  There was a notice to the public, via an ad in USA today that this was happening on March 1st.  What the notice did not say (as far as I can recall) is that you now need U-Verse internet to access the channels in the 5100 range.  I think that they pulled fast one which is a back door price increase, as you now need to add internet service to get the 51xx channels.

To ensure that AT&T understands your beef, I would recommend that you send a private message to the escalation team at AT&T Customer Care, and someone will get in touch with you.  I HATE the Stingray channels, with a passion.

I like so many others find this switch by ATT to Stingray to be almost insulting.  I don't like to be snide, but who in the world thought a clunky interface, a greatly reduced menu, and snail pace start-up was better?  Did ATT follow the money?

Is there anything at all a customer can do to get Music Choice back?  How very disappointing is this ATT move.

A greatly reduced menu?  If in the app, be on Music at top, just down arrow to music types, all channels will be listed underneath for that type, just scroll back/forth to see all types.

Go to menu>options>channel options>hide channels   plug in 5100 and start from there setting up which Stingray channels you want to see.  Most were not chosen from the initial rollout, choose the ones you want.  Even though you can get to the app from each channel w/Back button. 😉

Calling now to get price to add Internet Elite. Told that he would have to add for no less than $35/month. Because he didn't add internet when others added, no reduction for it. This is rediculous!!!

A very established customer, who is 82 years old pays $144/month for U300 TV pkg and home phone.  His country music channels taken away from him last month with no warning.  That is the main reason to have cable.

ATT&T stinks!! and has no customer loyalty!!!
